Scruffy is a two-sided marketplace connecting dog owners with mobile and brick-and-mortar groomers — discover, book, pay, and review in one app.
Groomers often have last-minute openings while pet owners struggle to find available appointments. Booking, scheduling, and communication were largely managed through phone calls and manual processes, creating missed opportunities for both groomers and customers.
The founder provided high-level requirements for a marketplace connecting pet owners and groomers. From there, I analyzed marketplace products and booking experiences to understand how supply, demand, scheduling, and availability were managed.
From those requirements, I defined the information architecture, sitemap, page hierarchy, and role-based workflows for customers, groomers, and administrators.
I designed three role-based experiences across desktop and mobile, each tailored to the unique needs of customers, groomers, and administrators. Together they supported booking appointments, onboarding groomers, managing schedules, customer accounts, and day-to-day platform operations.
